Dear Ron,
I'm writing to you to express my sincere appreciation for the help I received from Marty, Jeff, Janice, and Sig. I hope I didn't forget anybody else. Efficiency accompanied by courtesy is a rare combination in today's work world. It is even more rare to find dedicated people who love their work and carry out their duties both competently and enthusiastically. Your staff has it all.
My Mom lives in an apartment in a retirement community. The apartment has an emergency pull cord in the bathroom and an emergency call system which is activated by taking the phone off the hook. Once the phone is off the hook and no number is dialed, the switchboard operator will contact security. Well, what good is this system if you can't reach the pull cord and can't reach the phone. One woman had to lie on the floor with a broken bone for five hours before help came. This was very troublesome for my mother. I discussed personal response systems with her and she was excited to have one installed. I called an alarm company and the speaker and alarm were sent to her. I hooked it up and it didn't work. My mother has to dial "9" to get an outside line. This system was set up to dial "9" first. I called the company and they tried to dial the emergency number from her phone line and they couldn't dial out. They said I could return the speaker and alarm and would receive a refund. Well, now my mother was very disappointed. I told her I would try to find another company. I called several other companies and they said if the other alarm system didn't work, then, their alarm would not work either. I was very frustrated, but very lucky. The next call I made was to LifeFone.
I explained the problem I was having and they assured me that LifeFone would do everything possible to get Mom hooked up. He was very understanding. He checked the problem out with the technicians and returned my calls promptly. He was confident that the LifeFone system would work, and so was I. I called Marty and he arranged a phone meeting with the technician. Sig was able to program my Mom's phone so it will dial out and be connected to LifeFone. I wish you could see how happy Mom was to hear the voice say, "Lucy are you O.K." I can't describe the peace of mind we both felt at that moment. I don't know how I can thank the wonderful staff of LifeFone. The dedicated, personal assistance I received was outstanding. Please pass my appreciation on to your staff.
